Airsoft optics and scopes
Airsoft optics are optical sights that are commonly used on airsoft weapons. Telescopic sights are generally used for a long-range fight, while red dot sights are suitable for a short-range affair.
Airsoft optics include
i. Comparatively cheaper optics developed for 0.22 rifles and pellet guns
ii. Medium-range optics, which are nothing but cheap replicas of real rifle optics.
iii. Actual optics developed for rifles
Diverse types of airsoft optics are available for various kinds of airsoft weapons. These optics have a wide range of qualities and prices. A high percentage of airsoft optics are set up with the 20mm rails on the airsoft weapons.
The major types of airsoft optics are:
Telescopic Scope
This creates an enlarged image of the target. The image has a reticle superimposed into the original scope. Telescopic scope is generally used in airsoft sniper rifles. It has adjustable elevation and windage.
Red Dot Scope
It is a compactly built scope that creates an image inside the scope. The image created can have dots or crosshair. The colors of these dots are primarily red or green. The dots can be adjusted to have different levels of luminance. Elevation and windage are adjustable.
Laser
A laser creates a beam of high potency. This beam is operated with the help of a pressure switch. The beam has the capability of long-range travel. If it is strong enough, it can be visible even in broad daylight. Lasers are mostly red or green. The green ones are more clearly visible than the red ones. Elevation and windage are adjustable.
