Airsoft shot gun
Airsoft shotguns may not be able to compete with airsoft rifles and pistols, as far as popularity is concerned, but they have an appeal of their own. The reason for this attraction is quite a mystery. Shotgun, being always projected as the tough man’s weapon in the movies, may have earned a distinct place in the psyche of the strong guys. Airsoft shotguns are no exceptions either.
There are varied kinds of airsoft shotguns:
Classic Double-Barreled airsoft Shotgun
This double-barreled variant is a gas-powered airsoft weapon. It has two shells both of which are required to be loaded before the gun is shot. This enhances the resemblances of both the weapon and the action to those of real life. This airsoft shotgun also has a bit of post-fire kickback.
Spring-powered airsoft shotgun
Spring-powered airsoft shotguns are fun to play with, as setting the shotgun before each and every shot is a real-life phenomenon. Almost all airsoft shotguns are spring-powered. They are also designed to resemble the shotguns that the armed forces and the police use.
Airsoft shotguns can be full stock or cutaway. The latter has a pistol grip. The market almost has a fifty-fifty ratio of both these types. There is nothing much to choose between these two and it is only a matter of personal preference.
Airsoft shotguns are single-shot weapons. But the player does not need to load a new pellet before each shot, as the weapon can hold about forty rounds. This enables the player to return to the fight quickly.
